A legendary rebel and master improviser, Vypa is one of twelve sisters who grew up in poverty, left to survive on their own from the age of seven. Her solo raids against the national dictatorship were so prolific that the military believed a small squad was behind the attacks. On one occasion, Vypa accidentally targeted a remote Guerrilla Warfare (GW) training camp, mistaking it for a government outpost. After carrying out her signature ‘sting and choke’ move—and tying up Capt. Crasswater at knifepoint—she realized her error. Impressed and slightly intimidated, Crasswater welcomed Vypa and her sisters into GW. Now, together, they lead all jungle-based GW missions and ‘government awareness’ operations.
