It uses the Patina finish style with the Case Hardened coating: the blade is treated through a high-temperature case-hardening process that leaves mottled heat stains in blue, purple, and gold across raw steel, while the handle remains mostly clean for contrast. Because the look depends heavily on the pattern index, each knife can vary dramatically, rare “Blue Gem” patterns with deep blue coverage are especially prized. In Factory New condition, it appears pristine with virtually no scuffs, scratches, or dulled edges, keeping the metallic sheen bright and the colors crisp.
